J. Phoenix: New York, New York, United States; J. Phoenix is an ASCAP Award winner and Dove Award nominated songwriter. During his career he has penned songs for such artists as Joe, Nancy Wilson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tupac, George Benson, and Randy Brecker. In other parts of the world his songs have been recorded by Michelle Wright, one of Canada’s premier recording artists, Britain's Gary Barlow, and Vina Morales in the Philippines. His distinctive voice can be heard on albums by Patti LaBelle, Ricky Martin, Jessica Simpson, and Randy Brecker. His debut album, MASTERPIECE, is a collection of 13 soul-filled, timeless songs; and his long-awaited sophomore project, UNDISCOVERED TERRITORY, was released in October 2013.
