Flying With The Phoenix: A SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

Saturday Night Was Sizzling!.........a packed house in Portugal and two standing ovations for the first show, “Tango Buenos Aires”. Your boy had his Spanish and choreography tight! The show was hot and so was the after party. All that heat and fun were soon over. The next morning it was right back to the grind, getting ready for the “Big Time Swing” performance. I’m really looking forward to the audience response to my interpretation of such legenadary songs as “Orange Colored Sky”(popularized by Nat King Cole), and “One For My Baby” (popularized by Frank Sinatra). (So here I am Chillin' after Rehearsal and ready to hit the stage.

Tuesday Was Touchy…......Your boy barely missed running into some equipment during a tech run. I’ll tell you, these big productions are way different from standing in front of a mic in a local club. I had to get my head together, and what better place to do it than Villafrance, about a 5 minute train ride from Monte Carlo & Nice. In case you haven’t heard, the Euro is no joke; but after walking the steep stairs of this colorful town, I managed to grab a great meal at a local spot.

Where In The World Is J. Phoenix…….I just finished up the weekend in Lisbon (Portugal) and Tangier (Morocco), Tuesday in France, Wednesday just chillin’, and by the time you read this I’ll be in Barcelona.
